Although it's potential to own no signs or symptoms with an Achilles tendon rupture, most of the people experience:
- Pain, probably severe, and swelling close to your heel
- An inability to bend your foot downward or "push off" the injured leg once you walk
- An inability to square up on your toes on the injured leg
- A popping or snapping sound when the injury happens
When to see your doctor
Seek medical recommendation immediately if you are feeling a pop or snap in your heel, particularly if you cannot walk properly afterward.
